    1. Function and feature description

    1.1Usage of machine tools

    GMB2016 gantry machining center is mainly suitable for parts processing in aviation, aerospace, automobile, military, energy, information, mold and other industries. Aimed at processing small and medium-sized complex parts of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, it has the characteristics of high precision, high speed, high flexibility and environmental protection. Its performance indicators and accuracy indicators fully comply with national standards. The products are modularly designed and can be serialized and customized according to market demand.     The design of the machine tool complies with ISO international standards, and the measurement units of all parts, components and various instruments adopt the International System of Units (SI) standard.

    1.2 Overall layout of machine tools

    It adopts a layout with movable worktable, fixed beams and gantry frame structure, and double columns sitting on both sides of the bed.

    1.3 Spindle box

    The main spindle box uses a 350 × 350 square ram, and the Z-axis guide rail pair is a roller linear guide rail, with two at the back and one at the left and right to ensure smooth and precise cutting during processing.
    Z-axis drive - the servo motor is directly connected to the ball screw through a coupling. The ball screw drives the main spindle box to move up and down on the sliding saddle to achieve Z-axis feed. The Z-axis motor has an automatic brake function. In the event of a power outage, the automatic brake will hold the motor shaft tightly so that it cannot rotate.
    The spindle group is produced by a professional factory in Taiwan and has high precision and high performance. The spindle gripper relies on the butterfly spring on the spindle to exert a tightening force on the rivet of the tool handle through the four-petal claw broach mechanism. The tool and the spindle taper hole are closely matched to achieve the tool grip .
    The machine tool has spindle orientation function.
    1.4 Lathe bed - workbench

    The bed workbench, including the columns, beams, sliding saddles, spindle boxes and other large parts described later, are all cast using high-strength cast iron materials and resin sand processes. These large parts are designed optimally with the aid of computer three-dimensional software, and the stiffeners are reasonably arranged to improve the stiffness of the large parts.
    The bed- worktable X-axis guide rail pair adopts imported heavy -duty linear rolling guide rails, which have small friction coefficient, high worktable sensitivity, small high-speed vibration, no crawling at low speed, high positioning accuracy, and excellent servo drive performance; at the same time, it has large load-bearing capacity and is easy to cut. Good anti-vibration performance can improve the performance characteristics of machine tools, improve the accuracy and precision stability of machine tools and the service life of machine tools.
    X-axis drive - the servo motor is directly connected to the ball screw through a coupling, driving the worktable to move forward and backward on the bed to achieve X-axis feed motion, and pre-stretching the screw to improve the stiffness of the screw pair .
    1.5 beam

    ( 1) To meet the requirements of heavy-duty cutting of machine tools, the cross beam adopts a large cross-section and has sufficient bending stiffness and torsional stiffness.

    ( 2) The crossbeam guide rail pair adopts imported heavy-duty rolling linear guide rails.

    ( 3) Y-axis drive - the servo motor is directly connected to the ball screw through a coupling, and the ball screw drives the sliding saddle to move left and right on the beam to achieve Y-axis feed motion.

    1.6 Cooling chip removal system

    A high-lift cooling pump with a lift of 30 meters is used. 

    1.7 Pneumatic system

    Mainly used for spindle loosening and tool clamping ; spindle center blowing; spindle front end seal blowing, etc.

    1.8 Lubrication system

    The three coordinate bearings are grease lubricated.
    The ball screw pairs adopt automatic thin oil lubrication.
    The X , Y , and Z coordinate guide rails are linear rolling guide rails that adopt automatic thin oil lubrication. After the lubricating oil is diverted through the diverter, it is connected to each slider for lubrication.
    1.9 Machine tool protection

    The bed guide rail ( X-axis) of the machine tool adopts a rust-proof metal telescopic protective cover; the cross-beam guide rail (Y-axis) adopts an organ-type protection; the entire machine tool adopts semi-enclosed protection to prevent iron filings and coolant from splashing, so that the operator can safely Work in a comfortable environment.

    1.10 Chip removal system

       The processed iron chips on the workbench are transported to the chain chip conveyor at the front of the bed through the spiral chip conveyors on both sides of the bed, and then the chain chip conveyor sends the chips to the car.

    1.11 The CNC cabinet of the machine tool is equipped with a dust-proof, dehumidification and air-conditioning device, so that the CNC systemcan work in a dust-proof and temperature-controlled environment to ensure its long-term working reliability.
